You might think that because I’m a fitness coach I am perfect with my nutrition and never struggle with eating bad foods. But the truth is I struggle just like everyone. I love Cheetos, beer, cake and Starbucks. I usually live by the rule of moderation (good clean eating 90% of the time and 10% freedom). However, sometimes I slip and before I know it the equation is 50/50 and the scale starts creeping up and I start to feel gross. When I start to slip up I need a complete refocus. Results: I lost 4.6 lbs and 2 inches off my waist.
The question I always get after doing a cleanse is “will the weight stay off?”
First of all, now that I’m done I’m putting my scale away for awhile. I only get on my scale when I’m doing a cleanse or following a new fitness program. Second, everyone’s weight fluctuates up and down a few pounds. I don’t use the scale as a measurement of my success. It’s just a tool to show that I’m detoxing my body and losing the bloating that was plaguing me.
But every time I do a cleanse my body has felt fantastic and has stayed the same shape afterwards until I let my eating slide again. Will it go up or down from here? I’m not sure because I don’t plan on being a slave to the scale. The point of this cleanse wasn’t to lose weight but to detox my body and refocus my mind.
