Life isn’t always going to hand you perfect conditions to grow. Sometimes you have to bloom where you are planted, even if the soil seems too rocky.
I’m not where I thought I would be at this point in my life. I had hoped we would have been settled into our “forever home” and that we would have more stability. I have spent a lot of time over the last few months being bitter and angry about where we are because it seems so far from where I want to be. But God has been working on my heart and I’ve been praying for contentment in this hallway we’re waiting in. He continues to feed my soul with reassurance. I have good days and bad days but I’m constantly being reminded of His love for me.
“The fact is, some of the times when you feel the least fruitful and are feeling the most frustrated are actually times in your life when God is preparing you, tilling you and cultivating your character for the greatest gifts he’s going to give you” Steven Furtick
I’m learning to prosper where I am planted. God is using my present circumstances to prune me. He is my gardener and sometimes his pruning hurts. He trims out the branches we might not want to let go of. We go through hard times and struggles that we don’t understand but He is still in control.
If you are in rocky soil waiting to bloom, you can bloom where you are too. Beautiful flowers often grow in the most unimaginable places.
